15th Annual Homebrew Day Saturday, May 3, 2008 10a-6p
Hello Everyone,
Well, Homebrew Day has come and gone. It was a great time! I really would like to thank everyone that helped out and made it a success once again. I was a nervous wreck most of the time until I finally got to settle down with a couple of brews and whip up a couple of batches of my own. Charlie is a genius, but having dedicated friends around to help out was key. Cheers to all of you!
Our final tally was about 280 gallons.
I would also like to thank Michelle, James, and everyone at the Gotham Group for putting together our banners, sponsor poster, and our wonderful new logo!
Thanks also go out to our sponsors for all of the great donations ranging from yeast and bottle openers to board games and T-shirts. There were a few other prize packs that were given to us, but those are tucked away for a couple of meetings and a Holiday dinner door prize. The best club around should get the best prizes!
I see some pictures of the event have already been posted by Frank. Check them out on the Pictures page linked above. Here is a link to some that I had taken that day.
A video that was made during our event was voted as "Best Represents AHA Big Brew Award". Check it out at http://beerstainedletter.blogspot.com/ or www.beertown.org/homebrewing
Gary Monterosso from the Mid-Atlantic Brewing News has his own brew news site called "Still Crazy After All These Beers" and he was also at our little brew day. Check out episode ATB006, for the video.
